Sheep where an unusual addition to our lives with the arrival of a Fresian ewe called Dolcie recovering from a caesarian section in 1987. Mum (and mostly Dad) though this was just what was needed to encourage a budding Veterinary surgeon (although another 8 years would pass before I finally qualified.). A succession of orphan lambs kept Mum & Dad busy even after I left for University in 1988. I was never quite convinced that Mum & Dad had the sheep for my benefit... After Dad passed away the two remaining sheep Gordan and Lucy came to live with Lynda, the boys and myself. The sheep dynasty ended in 2012 when I put Lucy to sleep.
